Cambodia’s encouraging economic climate had paved the way for the K-four Electronic company to launch Samsung’s latest refrigerator in this country, company representatives said.
Kith Bunnarong, of K-four Electronic, said the comp-any’s sales in this country had increased since 2010, when it began working with Thai Samsung Electronics to im-port Samsung products for retail sale.
But Bunnarong refused to give the number of products sold. “I can’t say how much we sell, but I can confirm that [Samsung is a] sell-out brand compared to other brands,” he said.
“We think Cambodia will have more electronics shops, because there is more demand. Cambodian markets need more electronic products now, because new buildings exist and people need modern tools to use.”
K-four has five branches in Phnom Penh and in provinces including Siem Reap.
Last week, the government revised its economic growth figures for 2012 from seven to 7.3 per cent.
It said strong government policy was required to help sustain the present growth rate and elevate Cambodia to a medium-income country.
