The Asian Development Bank has approved a US$43 million assistance
package that will go towards upgrading the banking sector and improving
health and environmental standards, according to a statement. The loan
would include $10.8 for the Ministries of Forestry and Fisheries, Rural
Development and Water Resources to improve water supply and drainage.
The remaining $32.2 million would be to modernise Cambodia’s banking
system and improve administration and expand trade.
