The Vietnamese electricity authority will study the possibility of building two hydropower

plants in Rattanakiri and Kratie provinces, local media reported. Electricity of

Vietnam officials have signed an agreement with their Cambodian counterparts to survey

for a 90 megawatt plant and a 420 megawatt plant on the Se San River. The electricity

would be used to meet Cambodian demand and would also be exported to Vietnam.
