Foreign investment in Cambodia hit $3.97 billion in 2006, nearly quadrupling the
2005 figures, the Council for the Development of Cambodia announced. Foreign investment
was $1.05 billion in 2005. More than $2.6 billion was invested in tourism, mining,
energy and construction. $552 million was invested in the industry sector, including
garments; and agro-industry received more than $481 million, the report said.
