Two Cambodian companies evaded American duties by importing live catfish from Vietnam,
turning them into fillets, then shipping them to the United States, the US Commerce
Department says.
"Frozen fish fillets made in Cambodia from Vietnamese-origin whole [fish] should
be included in the anti-dumping duty order on frozen fish fillets from Vietnam,"
the Commerce Department said in a statement published in the US Federal Register.
The duty, imposed in 2003, is 81 percent. The two companies were the Lian Heng Trading
Company and Lian Heng Investment Company.
