Tourist beach boom

The number of local and foreign visitors to Sihanoukville increased 41.8 percent in November, compared with the same period last year.

Nearly 33,400 local and foreign tourists visited during the Water Festival holiday and Independence Day holidays, said Teng Tha of Sihanoukville 's Tourism Department. The majority of the foreign visitors came from France (780), the United States (640) and the United Kingdom (583), local media reported.
