Elderly woman injured in Kandal hit and run

A 71-year-old woman was critically injured when struck by a van in Kandal province’s Mok Kampoul district on Tuesday. According to police, the fast-driving van overtook another car and clipped the woman – who was going to visit her daughter – leaving her critically injured but alive.

She was sent to the hospital in Phnom Penh. Though the driver fled, he was captured by police, only to escape from the station, leaving police to resume the search. DEUM AMPIL
