At an atmospheric bar situated along the Kampot River, Western backpackers join together to eat, drink, play instruments and swim. Some lay on rafts in the middle of the river to sunbathe, with a variety of music blaring out across the river. Arcadia Backpackers is open to everyone, with locals also stopping by for a drink and a swim. Many Cambodians like to visit to make use of the guesthouse’s river entertainment. The food and drinks available are top quality and affordable for any visitor. Apart from water sports, guests can also borrow a bicycle for a quick trip or play ping-pong, volleyball, or pool, or just take a nap in a hammock. Some of the bungalows come with a glass roof for up to $27, but other rooms are available for as little as $7.
