On July 5, Chip Mong Insee launched its new Camel Cement brand at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. Chip Mong Insee Cement Corporation has become the most respected player in the cement industry in Cambodia. The joint cooperation has revamped the Camel brand and instilled in it a visual identity and a renewed sense of purpose in serving the needs of its customers. The establishment in late 2015 of the joint venture Chip Mong Insee Cement Corporation fused together the local market and distribution knowledge of Cambodia’s Chip Mong Group with the decades of industry and manufacturing expertise held by Siam City Cement Company (Insee Group) of Thailand. Chip Mong Insee is now prepared to commission its brand new ultra-modern cement plant in Touk Meas, Kampot Province, investing $262 million. By the end of 2017 and onwards, customers will be provided with improved levels of product availability, and with cements produced from premium raw materials using the latest quality control systems. The Camel Cement manufacturing facility will be Cambodia’s largest single line production centre and will undoubtedly alleviate Cambodia’s dependency on imported cement products. Photos by Hong Menea
