The China Hong Kong & Macau Expatriate & Business Association of Cambodia (CHKMEBA) and the Hong Kong Business Association of Cambodia (HKBAC) with support from the Hong Kong Trade and Economic Office (HKETO) in Singapore, came together to host the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Gala Dinner, and also to celebrate the return of Hong Kong to China, on August 10 at Topaz restaurant. The gala dinner is one of a series of events organised by various Hong Kong organisations, to mark the meaningful anniversary of the city’s return to China. Connecting all Hong Kong people, the events aim to look back at the last 20 years in Hong Kong, while continuously exploring innovative ways to improve Hong Kong. The event was attended by HE Hor Namhong, deputy prime minister of Cambodia; HE Xiong Bo, the Chinese ambassador to the Kingdom; and the ambassador’s wife, Dr Law Chi-Kwong, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare of the HKSAR Government. Also in attendance were Bruno Luk, the director of HKETO in Singapore, various senior ministers and other government officials from Hong Kong, as well as leaders of various business associations in Cambodia.
