Marriott International announced the signing of Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh. Scheduled to open in 2021, Chip Mong Group will invest approximately $80 million to build a three-star Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh, in cooperation with Marriott International. The hotel marks the first Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Cambodia. The hotel will be situated on a prime section of Russian Boulevard within the administrative centre of the city, with seamless access to corporate, diplomatic and tourist destinations in the capital; the site is a 20-minute drive from the airport. The hotel is minutes away from the Peace Palace, which serves as the office of Cambodia’s prime minister; the Office of the Council of Ministers; the Ministry of National Defence and various other government offices. It will also afford convenient access to major financial institutions, new retail hubs; the Phnom Penh city centre; and popular tourist attractions including Central Market, Sisowath Quay and the Royal Palace.
