The First public screening of the Khmer-language Netflix film First They Killed My Father was held on Septerber 8 in Cambodia exclusively by Westec Media, which arranged a one-month theatrical run at Legend Tuol Kork, City Mall and Stung Meanchey as well as Major Cineplex , Prime Cineplex and Baray Andet in advance of the worldwide release of the film by Netflix on September 15. The film is dedicated to those who died under the Khmer Rouge, as well as survivors.
