Pyroclastic ash billows from the Mayon volcano on Sunday in the Philippines’ Albay province, about 330 kilometres southeast of Manila. A government volcanologist said over the weekend that lava had clogged Mayon and could lead to an explosive and potentially deadly eruption in the coming weeks. AFP
