Ideal family apartment living around the city

Larger apartments are often hard to come by in Phnom Penh; demand is constantly high, and supply remains limited. Although the emergence of new apartment blocks is evident throughout the city, these properties tend to focus on one- and two-bedroom options rather than servicing the need for larger living spaces. Many of the bigger units are located in villas, usually above the family that owns the property, providing the bonus of added security and ease of communications if problems arise. However, prices for these apartments – especially the serviced options – can be extremely high in the city centre, which has facilitated the migration of families to areas such as Toul Tom Poung, Boeung Trabek and Toul Kork in search of cheaper options.
