Elena Lesley blogged regularly about the Khmer Rouge tribunal as a Fulbright Fellow in Cambodia from April 2008 to August 2009. Although she has since returned to the U.S., she continues to follow events at the court and to post occasionally. She hopes to return to Cambodia for the start of the tribunal's second trial, projected to begin late in 2010.
Before launching the Tribunal Report blog, Lesley spent a year at the Phnom Penh Post as a Henry Luce Scholar in 2004-2005.
A native of Portland, Ore., her writing has appeared in newspapers throughout the U.S. and on Granta.com and The Huffington Post. From 2005-2008 she worked as a reporter at the St. Petersburg Times in Florida.
