  The Embassy of Sweden in Phnom Penh is recruiting a locally employed full-time position:   Position Title: Communication and Promotion officer. Conditions: 6 months’ probation   1. Duties: ♦ Independently plan, manage and execute communication activities, as well as producing content to promote the image of Sweden and convey the activities and messages of the Embassy through media, web, social media, events and print materials among various target groups. ♦ Promote Swedish export/trade/investment as well as bilateral trade relations between Sweden and Cambodia and cooperate with other Swedish business actors in Cambodia and in the region. ♦ Promote and manage scholarship and training applications. ♦ Manage events related to cultural promotion. ♦ Develop and maintain networks of press and media representatives, of business community and of students/alumni. ♦ Represent the Embassy at external events.   2. Essential qualifications and experience: University degree (Bachelor’s degree minimum, Master’s degree an asset) in communication, journalism, public relations, political science or a related discipline.   Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English   A minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar position in an international organization, embassy, communication agency, international company or related.   Be a creative and self-motivated team-player with capacity to independently handle projects from A to Z.   3. Desirable qualifications and experience: Professional experience in journalism   Experience in organizing events and/or campaigns   Professional experience in managing social media accounts   Knowledge about Swedish society, culture and government   Knowledge of other languages (Swedish, Khmer) would be an advantage but not a requirement   4. About us   The Embassy of Sweden in Cambodia has a total of 8 Swedish staff seconded from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Sida, and 8 locally employed staff.
