USAID / Development Innovations project

DAI is an employee-owned global development company that has worked with thousands of local businesses and civil society organizations (CSOs) in Cambodia over the past 30 years. Development Innovations is a three-year USAID-funded project that supports civil society and social innovators to use technology in support of Cambodia’s development goals. The project offers funding and resources to build local capacity and interest in ICT for development and has established the 5D Lab to offer direct services to Cambodian civil society and techies. The project is seeking candidates for the following positions:
1. Communications Specialist: The Communications Specialist will lead all project Communications, design and implement a strategic communications strategy, and will be encouraged to think creatively and come up with communication tools and solutions.
Candidates who meet the following qualifications are urged to apply: • Minimum of three years working in civil society, marketing, PR or related field in a communications role, five years desirable • Degree in communications or related field • Ability to write for an international audience, experience producing communications materials for USAID and/or other international donors preferred • Exceptional creativity and ability to think about new and exciting ways to tell project stories • Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.), social media (Facebook, YouTube), ability to use basic video editing software a plus • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and ability to meet deadlines • Desire to solve development challenges in Cambodia and belief in the role of innovation and new technologies to solve these challenges • Fluency in English and Khmer (both written and oral) • Demonstrated achievement using social media to communicate and engage target audiences in Cambodia desirable
2. Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist: The M&E Specialist will support information management for the project and innovation lab and will manage a monitoring and reporting system built upon Development Innovations’ project indicators. He/She will help inform USAID and project staff about project status and progress toward achievement of key results as agreed in the annual work plans.
Candidates who meet the following qualifications are urged to apply: • Three or more years of experience in monitoring and evaluation • Experience with USAID data reporting • Proficiency in database management and data analysis • Strong writing abilities • Fluency in English and Khmer (both written and oral)
