About the Job
  Position Title : English Editor Report to : Head of Human Resources Contract Type : 6 months initial contract and renewable Closing Date : March 25, 2016 Location : Phnom Penh   Duties & Responsibilities The role of the part-time English Language Editor will be to assist staff by reviewing, and editing documents in English, reports, presentations, official documents, internal policies, international funding applications, etc. The Editor will be to work both from home and half day at Amret’s head office (from Monday to Friday). The Editor will be responsible for: ♦ Correcting, proofreading and editing documents written in English. ♦ Creating a glossary of financial terms to be used by Amret.
Furthermore, the editor may be asked to help collaborators improve their command of the English language, especially their written skills by explaining recurring errors, grammar rules or syntax errors. If requested, the editor will include the English grammar rules behind specific edits and offer constructive feedback and practical tips.
The Editor is able to meet tight deadlines and produce quality documents in accordance with Amret needs.   Job Requirements ♦ English native speaker; ♦ Master’s degree level in English Literature; ♦ Five years editing experience; ♦ Good command of financial terms and corporate communication; ♦ Excellent organization skills, proactive and autonomous; ♦ Ability to manage time and organize workload.
