About the role: The Head of Finance will provide financial management for the organization to ensure the efficient operations of the Finance department. Using insightful leadership and constant interaction with other team members, the Head of Finance will ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions and is responsible for the management of accounting systems, compliance with financial procedures and internal control compliance.
Key responsibilities will include: ♦ Prepare and review the monthly account reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts; ♦ Ensure compliance with MSI financial policies, donor requirements and authorization levels; ♦ Maintain the SUN Accounting system, close and open periods, upload monthly exchange rates; ♦ Prepare and submit the monthly financial management report and all supporting schedules for review to the management team by the reporting deadline; ♦ Provide advice to management about expenditure trends, exceptional items, and performance against budget; ♦ Ensure that project related to expenditures comply with donor reporting requirements and that the coding of transactions is accurate and follows donor budget codes; ♦ Assist in preparing the annual budget and operating plan of MSIC;
Skills and Experiences: ♦ Degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA/CPA is desirable ♦ At least 7 years working in financial management ♦ At least 3 years in senior financial role ♦ Experience developing/using financial management software ♦ Strong English and Khmer (spoken and written)
