Information Resources Center Assistant
  The U.S. Mission in Phnom Penh is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Information Resources Center Assistant for the Public Affairs Section, Department of State.   The incumbent provides outreach services and information products to target audiences, Public Affairs Section (PAS) staff, and other officers and agencies at Post in a timely manner. S/he independently responds to requests for information and research services. S/he executes the administrative functions of the Information Resources Center, multiple American Corners, and targeted outreach programs. S/he works with the social media team to facilitate program content placed on existing social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.   Salary: The annual salary range for this position is USD 10,375 – 16,082.   Required Qualifications EDUCATION: Two (2) years of university study is required. EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in an office setting, the fields of library sciences, managing social media platforms, managing communications or information services is required. LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English and Khmer are required. (This will be tested.) SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to carry out reference searches and respond rapidly to complex requests, often for breaking news; to work effectively with American and foreign national staff. Must have ability in clerical duties to include drafting and typing of correspondence, photo-copying printed materials and maintaining inventory of pamphlets and other PAS materials. Must have interpersonal, cross-cultural skills and excellent service orientation. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have basic understanding of computer technology, especially with regard to accessing information via the Internet. Full knowledge of Internet resources and complex information databases is required. Basic knowledge in the Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.   Application Procedure The application deadline is October 09, 2017.
