USAID / Development Innovations Project


DAI is an employee-owned global development company that has worked with thousands of local businesses and civil society organizations (CSOs) in Cambodia over the past 30 years. DAI is seeking candidates for our newest Cambodia project. Development Innovations will work with civil society and technology entrepreneurs to catalyze social innovation through new media technologies and a groundbreaking innovation lab–a space where social and technology professionals will design programs and tools to support CSOs and advance social issues; to attract investors to fund innovative new products; and to mentor civil society and technology professionals.

Lab Manager (Full-time)
The lab manager will be responsible for overseeing the logistics of Development Innovations’ 5D Lab, fostering a culture of participation and engagement of lab members, and contributing to the technical results of the project. Duties and responsibilities fall under three broad categories for administration/management, event planning and promotions and technical. Candidates who meet the following qualifications are urged to apply:

• Bachelor or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university
• A minimum of five years of professional and relevant experience
• Project management skills and ability to manage multiple things at once
• Experience managing facilities and events
• Experience with community building
• Well organized, good with deadlines and self-starter
• Exposure to ICT technology and software development desirable
• Good attention to detail and demonstrates initiative
• Enjoys working with technology and interest in design thinking.
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills essential
• Fluency in English (both written and oral) is desirable
• Fluency in Khmer is essential

Lab Manager (Part-time/Weekends)
The weekend lab manager will be responsible for the same tasks as the full-time lab manager, but will manage the lab on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM- 6 PM. The Lab Manager (Part-time Weekends) should meet the qualifications described above for the Lab Manager (Full-time)

Lab Officer (Part-time)
The lab officer will be responsible for overseeing the successful running of Development Innovations’ 5D Lab during the evening hours (approximately 5 pm -10 pm, Monday-Friday). The lab officer will remain during evening hours to answer questions, address problems, maintain tidiness, and close the lab. Candidates who meet the following qualifications are urged to apply:

• Completion of high school
• Completion of some college or university coursework preferred
• At least 1year of professional and relevant experience gained through employment or internships
• Project management skills and ability to manage multiple thing at once
• Well organized, good with deadlines and self-starter
• Exposure to ICT technology and software development desirable
• Good attention to detail and demonstrates initiative
• Enjoys working with technology and interest in design thinking.
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills essential
• Fluency in English (both written and oral) is desirable
• Fluency in Khmer is essential
