IDP Education (Cambodia) Ltd., as part of a global network of more than 70 offices in 24 countries, runs the leading ELT centre, Australian Centre for Education (ACE) which now operates on three campuses, and jointly owns and manages the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). IDP is seeking qualified applicants for the positions of Campus Manager and Assistant Director of Studies within its English language school, the Australian Centre for Education (ACE). The positions are based in Phnom Penh.

Campus Manager
Qualification Requirements: • Graduate, with a Masters Degree qualification in TESOL/ELT/Applied Linguistics/Education Management;
• At least 5 years work experience in a TESOL/ELT context;
• Sound working knowledge of resource allocation, HR processes and Office administration.

Other Relevant Qualities:
• Committed ELT professional with a strong and active interest in the industry;
• Have leadership qualities to be able to lead the teachers and non-academic staff, including through times of change in a multinational working environment;
• Able to demonstrate a sound commercial approach to the business; possess a dynamic self-starting and can-do approach to developing new business for the school;
• Able to work autonomously, yet in line with the company policy and procedures, and to deadlines;
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy, sometimes hectic and culturally diverse environment;
• Able to work closely and constructively with the Country Director, the ACE Principal, other administrators and all teachers;
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to work flexibly and collaboratively to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching programs.

Date of Appointment: January 2015 (this is negotiable).

Assistant Director of Studies
Qualification Requirements:
• Relevant post-graduate qualifications in TESOL/Applied Linguistics;
• Extensive background experience involving the following: teaching of EAP/ESP, including overseas [preferably in a developing country]; curriculum and materials development; competency based training; knowledge of CALL; coordination and management experience;
• Sound working knowledge of resources and resource allocation;
• Some teacher training experience.

Other Relevant Qualities:
• Able to work as a committed professional in the context of a developing country, and in an international staffing environment including local Cambodian staff;
• Prepared to act as a professional representative of the school at all times;
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy, sometimes hectic environment;
• Able to work closely and constructively with the school principal, Director of Studies, other administrators and all teachers;
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to work flexibly and collaboratively to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching programs;
• Be a committed ELT professional with a strong, active interest in teaching a broad knowledge and awareness of ELT applied learning/teaching theories and methodologies;
• Able to work well under pressure and have the capacity to work to deadlines;
• Demonstrate a medium to long-term commitment to working in Cambodia.
