Job Title: National Consultancy to provide technical support in developing Secondary Data Analysis Report on “Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights for Adolescents and Youth using Data from CDHS 2014” Duty Station: UNFPA  Phnom Penh Contract type: Individual Consultant Deadline: 08 April 2016  (4 PM Local Time)
Specific Objective of Assignment: ♦ To document trends (2000–2014) with regard to key aspects of sexual reproductive health knowledge and behavior of adolescents (15-19) and youth (20-24) in Cambodia (if possible using same level of disaggregation as in Annex 1); ♦ To disaggregate data on adolescents and youth sexual reproductive health available from the Cambodia Demographic and Health Survey 2014 by a selection of variables for more specific variables and disaggregation; ♦ To conduct a comparison between the performance of adolescents and youth with regard to key indicators and the national average (or total average of age groups above) based on Cambodia Demographic and Health Survey 2014; ♦ To provide an analysis of the findings and recommendations for policy and programme intervention as well as relevant follow-up researches; and ♦ To provide hands-on coaching to National Institute of Statistics/Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Health assigned officials on the secondary data analysis, analytical skills and report writing skills;
Requirements: ♦ PhD Degree in Demography and Social Science (Statistics/Demography) or related subjects; ♦ At least 10 years’ experience in supporting, advising or working with Government in population research study, designing probability samples for household surveys/research with quantitative and qualitative analysis; ♦ Training national staff, analyzing, and reporting on the results of big scale surveys of the countries in the region, preferably in respect of Cambodia; ♦ Ability to work independently in a cross-cultural environment, and demonstrated capacity to build strong relationships with local counterparts; ♦ Good communications, negotiation and coordination skills; ♦ Previous working experience in Cambodia or the Greater Mekong sub-region would be an advantage; and ♦ Relevant experience in the use of computer data analysis applications (eg SPSS, SAS).
