Vacancy Notice   The ICRC Mission in Phnom Penh seeks to fill the following position:   Operational Communication Field Officer, based in Phnom Penh
  Your main responsibilities: Under the overarching supervision of the Head of Mission (HoM) and Communication Coordinator (Head of Department in Bangkok), the Operational Communication Field Officer (OCFO) participates and coordinates in all aspects of ICRC’s communication activities and support to the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) Communication department.   Your main responsibilities: ♦ Supports operational departments of Phnom Penh Office (PPO) by carrying out specially-tailored presentations on ICRC history, mandate, operational activities, basic principles of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and relevant provisions of International Human Rights Law (IHRL) to various audiences/stakeholders; ♦ Supports PPO departments by going to the field and participating in organized events with interactive presentations; ♦ Provides guidance and training on Communication (COM) to colleagues, ♦ Prepares regular reports and statistics on COM activities and their impact (achievements), ♦ Works in tandem with social media/communication officer, replaces in he/her absence, ♦ Assures smooth follow up of prevention activities in the absence of prevention assistant.   Your education and experience: ♦ High school degree or equivalent, ♦ 2 years working experience in a similar field with a humanitarian or development organization, ♦ Good command knowledge of written and spoken English, ♦ Good computer (Ms. Office, internet, email…etc) and analytical skills, ♦ Experience in delivering presentations, ♦ Ability to work independently while being part of a team.   Competencies requirements: ♦ Pro-active with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, ♦ Resourceful, with strong organizational skills and able to fulfil assigned tasks with minimal supervision, ♦ Excellent interpersonal / communication skills.
