Procurement and Grants Adviser

Cardno supports the implementation of CAVAC on behalf of the Australian Government.
CAVAC has the purpose of increasing the productivity and incomes of small farmers and trade in milled rice and other crops by strengthening market systems and investing in irrigation infrastructure.
CAVAC will contribute to the achievement of the following two goals:
> improved incomes for smallholder farmers; and, > increased trade in milled rice and other crops.
The Procurement and Grants Adviser will oversee the procurement of irrigation schemes, vehicles, office suppliers, and other goods and services required by CAVAC. The position will also oversee the process for the awarding of grants. This position will manage and build the skills of the local Procurement and Grants Manager to ensure procurement processes are implemented and aligned with the donor expectations. This position must also work closely with the Irrigation & Water Management Manager and the Irrigation Engineering team.
