REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST SHORT-TERM CONSULTANT (STC)

For more information, visit www.ifc.org.   IFC is working on necessary upstream works on other agri sub-sectors including cassava and pepper to support further development of these sub-sectors in Cambodia. Part of this effort, IFC is undertaking an in-depth diagnostic on cassava value chains.   IFC is looking to hire an STC, national or international, for 40 days from January 29th to April 20th, 2018 to conduct an in-depth diagnostic on cassava value chains to achieve the following objectives:   ♦ Undertake an in-depth supply chain analysis, including specific market con-straints, priority areas, and potential IFC engagement opportunities; and ♦ Undertake clients mapping (tops players, market share, affiliations), their business needs, strategic interests and prioritization for IFC engagement.   ELIGIBILITY: Interested consultant is expected to have: ♦ In-depth understanding of agribusiness with a broad knowledge of the cassava sub-sector in Cambodia; ♦ Demonstrated experience in working effectively with local and international agribusiness firms; ♦ Proven experiences in research and analytical works and undertaking similar studies; ♦ Possess advanced degree in business, economics, agriculture or related field; ♦ Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, and articulate issues and recommended solutions; ♦ Previous working experience with the World Bank Group is a benefit.   Detailed Term of Reference (ToR) is available in the link below.
