Save the Children is a child rights organization. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in Save the Children’s work in Cambodia working in partnership with the Government, NGOs and community members. Save the Children is looking for qualified and motivated candidates to fill in different positions in different areas across the country office.

Positions Available and Qualifications:
Engineer/ Site Engineer based in Phnom Penh (1 position)
Roles and Responsibility
The purpose of this position is to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site, through regular job site inspections for compliance and non-compliance to technical design drawings, specifications, materials selected and used, as well as work environment for safety and hazards and labour force at construction sites. In addition, the post holder will, on daily basis, report the progress, compliance and non-compliance, and delay in work to Construction and Engineering Coordinator and Manager.

Professional Qualification
• At least Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Civil Engineering, or any relevant field;
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in on-site supervision, project management and construction administration;
• Experience in concrete, wooden, and steel construction and retrofitting;
• Experience in assessment, planning, implementation and developing bill of quantities and specifications;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office, Auto CAD, Auto Desk 3Dmax, Photoshop
• Excellent IT [Microsoft Office] skills;
• Ability and willingness to travel to all parts of the country;
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches;
• Fluency in written and spoken English and in Khmer will be an important advantage.

Construction and Engineering Coordinator base in Phnom Penh (1 position)
Roles and Responsibility
The purpose of this position is to coordinate all construction projects of Save the Children in Cambodia. In addition, the position will supervise engineer and ensure technical sounds in designs/drawings, construction, location and rehabilitation of buildings, accuracy of Bill of Quantity, costing, budgeting and facilities in
compliance with Save the Children and government’s construction standards, including child safe guarding, child-friendliness, gender, disability, environment, safety and protection, Disaster Risk Reduction.

Professional Qualification
• At least Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Civil Engineering, or any relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in development and management of construction and renovation projects;
• Experience in on-site supervision, project management and construction administration;
• Ability to positively influence cross departmental and cross sectorial working;
• Experience in design/drawings of concrete, wooden, and steel construction and retrofitting;
• Basic knowledge and Experience in construction procurement;
• Experience in assessment, planning, implementation and developing bill of quantities and specifications;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office, Auto CAD, Auto Desk 3Dmax, Photoshop
• Excellent IT [Microsoft Office] skills;
• Ability and willingness to travel to all parts of the country;
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches;
• Fluency in written and spoken English and excellence in Khmer will be an important advantage.

Construction and Engineering Manager based in Phnom Penh (1 position)
Roles and Responsibility
The purpose of this position is to lead and manage construction projects of Save the Children in Cambodia. In addition, the position will supervise engineers, work closely with thematic programme and procurement teams and provide technical oversight in the area of construction and engineering, to ensure all designs/drawings, construction process, location and rehabilitation of buildings and facilities are in compliance with Save the Children and Government Standards, which includes child safe guarding, Disaster Risk Reduction, child-friendly, gender, disability, environment-friendly and protection.

Professional Qualification
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, or Civil Engineering, or any relevant field. Extensive and substantive relevant practical experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s Degree.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in development and management of construction and renovation projects;
• Experience in on-site supervision, project management and construction administration;
• Ability to positively influence cross departmental and cross sectorial working;
• Experience in concrete, wooden, and steel construction and retrofitting;
• Knowledge and experience in construction procurement;
• Experience in assessment, planning, implementation and developing bill of quantities and specifications;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office, Auto CAD, Auto Desk 3Dmax, Photoshop
• Excellent IT [Microsoft Office] skills;
• Ability and willingness to travel to all parts of the country;
