Contract type: National Consultant (SB-5) Duration: 40 days (From Jan-Jun 2018) Duty station: Phnom Penh, Cambodia   The Office of Evaluation (OED) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has launched an evaluation of FAO’s programme in Cambodia. OED is seeking qualified consultant to join the evaluation team.   FAO - Cambodia is looking for one Country Programme Evaluation to be based in Phnom Penh.   Candidates should have demonstrated evaluation experiences and a background in sectors related to FAO’s areas of work in Cambodia (including Policy support, institutional capacity development; Rural livelihoods development, value chain analysis and development, including financing; Climate change adaptation and mitigation, natural resources and forests; Socio-economic aspects, social inclusion issues and approaches, and Gender; Livestock Production and Animal Health, transboundary animal health issues and management.   Tasks and responsibilities of the team members: The evaluation will be led by FAO Office of Evaluation, and OED. The team members will be responsible for: ♦ Reviewing documents concerning FAO’s activities in Cambodia relating to their areas of expertise; ♦ Participating in meetings with FAO’s stakeholders (including Government, Civil Society and the Private Sector); ♦ Participating in field missions to selected project sites to meet with local partners and beneficiaries; ♦ Consolidating and analysing information collected and drafting sections of the evaluation report.   REQUIRED COMPETENCIES ♦ Advanced university degree in a relevant discipline (agriculture, food and nutrition security, economics, development studies, social sciences, etc.); ♦ A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the respective fields of specialization; ♦ Demonstrated experience in evaluation. In particular, good experience in conducting evaluation interviews and focus groups and in report writing.
