DC-Cam to stress education in 2009

The Documentation Center of Cambodia will improve its efforts in 2009 to teach Cambodian students about the Khmer Rouge, according to a recent report from Voice of America.

A team from New York's Columbia University will work with Education Ministry officials to prepare syllabi and texts (including Khamboly Dy's "A History of Democratic Kampuchea) for some 3,000 teachers.

DC-Cam will also establish a new research center in the coming year.
