There is only one company that rents horse drawn carts for weddings in Phnom Penh. The idea is brand new to the city, and can only be found in Koh Pich, or Diamond Island. The company has three carts which are each attractive in their own way. Two were crafted in China, and one in Cambodia. They are each different in design; the combination of Khmer and foreign cultures give the customer more choices to choose from.

From his office in Koh Pich, Kim Sun, a Customer Service representative said: “Making these horse carts for wedding photographs is the primary purpose. We want to help young couples who are getting married do something new, strange and exciting. We create luxurious and happy photographs in order to capture those unforgettable memories. Besides it also brings more visitors to Diamond Island, they are attracted by the place’s beauty and scenic spots which also help to create perfect pictures that capture the special event.”

The company offers three services to its customers to chose from. The first service is taking photographs in the beautiful garden found in Koh Pich with one of the three horse carts. This costs $50 for customers celebrating their wedding in Koh Pich and $70 for customers that are celebrating outside of Koh Pich. The second service is to take photographs in other places anywhere around Koh Pich with the horse cart. This service costs $100 for customers who are having their wedding in Koh Pich and an additional $20 for those who are celebrating outside.

The last service is to take photographs near Koh Pich, this means that the horses must be taken further from away, but it gives the happy couple a chance to find the perfect spot for the perfect picture. This service costs $200 for couples celebrating both in and outside of Koh Pich.
