A RESIDENT of Battambang’s Sampov Loun district is to be charged today after allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl on Sunday evening, district police said yesterday. The 36-year-old man, a neighbour of the girl, was transferred yesterday to the provincial capital, the district’s chief penal officer said. The alleged rape occurred at about 8:30pm. The girl’s neighbour allegedly raped her repeatedly behind his pig pen, district deputy police chief Keang Sothy said.
