The Japanese Embassy announced grant assistance of $3,025,000 to support the

Project for Improvement of Maternal Child Health Care Services on Mar 24,

according to an embassy press release.

Funds will be made available to

UNICEF who will implement the project in cooperation with the Ministry of Health

in order to "reduce the burden of vaccine-preventable diseases, eliminate iodine

deficiencies and ensure access to essential drugs and their proper use".
