AN armed robber was sentenced to five years in prison yesterday for threatening a Phnom Penh motodop with a pistol last year. Vin Ny, 36, was arrested on August 14 last year in Phnom Penh Thmey commune, in Russei Keo district, after he robbed the driver that day. “He used a pistol and pointed it at the victim while riding behind him, and successfully robbed him,” presiding judge Suos Sam Ath said in court. Vin Ny declined to comment on the verdict.
