A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 14-year-old girl in Phnom Penh’s Russei Keo district. Police chief in Prek Tasek commune, Khoun Chheang, said that the suspect was arrested on Sunday following a complaint from the girl’s mother. The girl, it is alleged, was raped at least 10 times since April this year and since tried to commit suicide. Police sent documentation regarding the case to Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday morning.
