Aussie govt donates $3.5m for food aid

The Australian government has donated $3.5 million to the United

Nations World Food Program (WFP) in Cambodia. The contribution will

support the humanitarian agency’s goal of providing food assistance to

1.8 million of the most vulnerable Cambodians in rural areas, the WFP

said in a statement. WFP country director Thomas Keusters said the

money came at a critical time, as the price of staple commodities has

continuously risen.
