The BBC World Service relaunched its 24-hour English FM station in Phnom Penh on
November 15.
Thanks to a new transmitter, BBC 100 FM will now be able to broadcast BBC World Service
programs in "crystal clear quality" up to 60 km outside of Phnom Penh.
Signal clarity has been increased by doubling transmitter strength from 500 watts
to 1 kilowatt.
Ruxandra Obreja, BBC World Service Controller of Business, said the service would
compliment Cambodia's domestic news providers and help meet the increasing global
need for accurate, unbiased information.
