Authorities in Phnom Penh’s Stung Meanchey district discovered a bomb left over from the country’s 1970-75 civil war on Saturday. Seng Sarun, chief of the district’s Damnak Thom 2 village, said the bomb was found when construction workers were digging to lay underground pipes in the area. He called for an expert from the Cambodian Mine Action Authority to remove the bomb, which he said was 1 metre in length.
