Cambodian and Thai officials agreed that the checkpoint in O'Smach in Oddar Meanchey

province would become an international border crossing. It is currently open three

days a week for Thais who come to gamble at O'Smach's two casinos. Officials hope

the change, whose date is to be decided, will increase trade and tourism in the area.
