A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy drowned while looking for snails in a rice field in Daun Dom village in Kampong Cham province’s Cheung Prey district on Saturday. Chhai Kimsun, village vice administrative chief, said yesterday that Oun Pisey was looking for snails to sell with his four-year-old brother Oun Ek when he fell into a water- hole. He could not swim. Oun Pisey’s parents Kreng Leang, 33, and Phan Oun, 37, were collecting snails about one kilometre away. Kreng Leang said they had told the boys to wait by a nearby cottage. They returned to find Oun Ek, who took them to Oun Pisey’s body.
