The National Assembly has adjourned for three months to allow lawmakers to visit constituents in rural provinces and "spread [news on] national and international laws, conventions and treaties that we have achieved for them", Heng Samrin, president of the National Assembly, said Thursday. He discouraged lawmakers from heading overseas, saying that meeting with Cambodian people was "better than traveling abroad".
