The government plans to educate the public on Buddhist teachings through a programme titled Buddhism and Society, which is to air on television and radio nationwide. Min Khin, minister of cults and religions, said Sunday that the programme, which had yet to be scheduled, aims to increase the ethics and morality of the people. “This programme is good for young people, to teach them about the differences between good and bad and stop being cruel to others,” he said.
