Defence Minister Tea Banh is to travel to the US for an official visit from September 18-21. Chhum Socheat, spokesman for the ministry, said. Tea Banh is to discuss with US Secretary of Defence Robert Gates improved military cooperation between the two nations. He is also expected to discuss with the UN further collaboration in sending Cambodian troops to Chad and central Africa for demining and peacekeeping operations.
