The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) has called on the European Parliament to address the defamation lawsuits filed against publisher Hang Chakra and Sam Rainsy Party lawmakers Mu Sochua and Ho Vann. In a submission to the body, ALDE asked the European Commission whether it was ready to "initiate measures to confront the Cambodian government" over the suits.
