In Brief: Japanese funds for demining

Japan has signed over US$615,000 to the Cambodian Mine Action Centre to

fund efforts this year to clear land mines and unexploded ordnances in

the provinces of Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear and Oddar Meanchey that

"are stll causing a large number of accidents", according to a

statement released Monday by the Japanese embassy in Phnom Penh.
