In brief: Myanmar ambassador dies

The Myanmar ambassador to Cambodia died of a heart attack in Phnom Penh on Wednesday evening, a foreign affairs official told the Post Thursday. Koy Kuong, undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the ambassador, Aung Naing, died at 5pm Wednesday. "We offered a chance to the family members and embassy officials to hold the [funeral] ceremony," Koy Kuong said. The Myanmar embassy could not be reached for comment Thursday.
