In Brief: Retired ranariddh still on payroll


Norodom Ranariddh is expecting to receive retirement pay from the

National Assembly, which can amount to up to $1,100 per month, along

with another 50 retired lawmakers.

"Retired lawmakers receive

between US$800 and $1,100 a month, depending on their rank within the

National Assembly," said Cheam Yeap, a CPP lawmaker. Norodom Ranariddh

resigned as National Assembly president in 2006.
