Cambodia has formally established diplomatic relations with the island nation of Fiji, Foreign Ministry spokesman Koy Kuong said Wednesday. An agreement was signed on May 27 by Sea Kosal, Cambodia’s permanent representative to the UN, and his Fijian counterpart, Peter Thomson, Koy Kuong said. “This is the first time Cambodia has had diplomatic relations with Fiji,” he said. “It is useful to have diplomatic relations. For the next step, investment in agriculture and tourism will come.”
