Cambodian woman dies in Thai crash

A 21-year-old woman was killed and two others injured early Tuesday morning when their van crashed in Thailand’s Srah Kaeo district. Dy Salout, acting police chief at the Beong Trakoun checkpoint in Banteay Meanchey’s Thma Puok district, said the three women, Yann Saleoun, 21, Sun Noy, 30, and Yem Bunroun, 26, were on their way to Thailand to work illegally.  “[Saleoun’s] dead body and the victims were sent to Cambodia on Tuesday evening,” he said, adding that every day around ten people leave through Beong Trakoun to work illegally.
