The UN's narcotics watchdog, the International Narcotics Control Board, has named
Cambodia as a "major supplier of cannabis to countries in the region and in
other parts of the world" in its 2002 annual report. The report also claimed
the country is a supply route for large amounts of heroin trafficked mainly to Australia,
and pointed to growing methamphetamine use among the local population as a problem.
The INCB urged Cambodia to ratify international drug control treaties "without
delay".
