Four farmers were injured when unexploded ordnance detonated at a cassava plantation in Kratie province’s Pi Thnou commune on Sunday.
According to one victim’s father, the men set fire to grass they had cleared without realising that a nearby tree trunk contained an unexploded shell.
Ngea Soryon, Snuol district’s deputy police chief, said the four men were rushed to hospital. He added that the victims had come from Kampong Cham to work at the plantation.
